Hi all,
I want to give Oracle a big thank you (NOT!) for all the extra work we got when Java 1.6 update 19 was automatic rolled out.
grrrrr , what a mess, was that! a real big thank you goes to the Servoy guys who responded very quickly. I'm not going to throw you all the topics on the forum, which handles this, but only one: http://wiki.servoy.com/x/SpV7 BIG thank you to Paul Bakker!!! :-)

that's also great news, keep us posted here!
But I think it will not even be necessary: certum.eu offers free valid code signing certificates for a year (renewable) for Open Source developers, see certum.eu/certum/cert,offer_java_code_signing.xml. I've checked with them and this is for real, and they are recognized by SUN as root certificate authority. I've verified on Windows and Mac and indeed they are in the cacerts keystore!!!
Your idea and their initiative is worth noticing... is there still hope in this world or what?
I will apply asap and hopefully very soon will be able to deliver fully signed plugins and beans.
A certificate is valid for 1, 2 or 3 years (I don't think there are more tastes).
I can only advise you guys and Patrick to go for the 3 years certificate to avoid that he has to 'beg' for money every year!
The plugin people (Marcel, Patrick and Patrick) and Servoy really nailed this. Cool stuff.
